Kamasi Washington, Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin & 9th Wonder Release Debut ‘Dinner Party’ EP

Recently formed supergroup Dinner Party released their self-titled debut EP through Sounds Of Crenshaw/Empire. The project features Kamasi Washington, Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin and 9th Wonder.

Vocalist Phoelix is featured on four of the seven tracks that make up Dinner Party. Washington (tenor saxophone), Martin (alto saxophone), Glasper (keyboards) and 9th Wonder (production) have collaborated on numerous projects over the past several years and co-produced their debut release, which was recorded in late-2019 in Los Angeles at Chalice Studios.

“We’ve all been dear friends for a long time, and I look at us like the soul army,” Martin, who runs Sounds Of Crenshaw, told Essence. “We all came together for the common goal to spread love and soul to the earth.”

The album art was created by Washington’s sister, Amani Washington. Stream Dinner Party below:
