Watch Jeff Tweedy Perform ‘Lou Reed Was My Babysitter’ On ‘Kimmel’

The Wilco leader played the song from his latest solo album, Twilight Override.

Between recent West Coast Tour stops in California, Jeff Tweedy brought his solo band to Jimmy Kimmel Live. The late-night talk show appearance featured the Wilco frontman helming a rendition of his song “Lou Reed Was My Babysitter.”

Tweedy wrote and recorded “Lou Reed Was My Babysitter” for inclusion on his 2025 solo album, Twilight Override. Currently on tour in support of the record, Tweedy’s current backing band comprises his sons, drummer Spencer Tweedy and keyboardist Sammy Tweedy, along with guitarist Liam Kazar bassist Sima Cunningham and guitarist Macie Stewart.

Tweedy, who has been covering songs related to each tour stop, will host a concert tonight in Santa Cruz, California.
