Last Friday Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit issued their latest studio album The Nashville Sound. Last night the group appeared as musical guests on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and performed a track off the brand new record.

Produced by Dave Cobb, The Nashville Sound features singer-songwriter Jason Isbell on guitar accompanied by his wife, fiddle player Amanda Shires, keyboardist Derry deBorja, guitarist Sadler Vaden, bassist Jimbo Hart and drummer Chad Gamble. The album was recorded in Isbell’s current hometown of Nashville at the famed Studio A. The follow-up to Isbell’s previous solo albums Southeastern and Something More Than Free is made up of 10 new original songs, including the single “Hope The High Road,” which was performed last night.
