Holly Bowling Shares Rendition Of ‘Morning Dew’
By Jeffrey Greenblatt May 7, 2017 • 9:10 am PDT
Last year, Holly Bowling released her album Better Left Unsung made up of solo piano interpretations of classic Grateful Dead songs. This past week the talented pianist shared a cover of “Sage & Spirit,” a tune that was not included in that collection.
Bowling has now shared a second video of Dead staple that was also not included that record with a moving 11-plus minute take on “Morning Dew.” The Bobbie Dobson-penned post-apocalyptic song was originally featured on the Grateful Dead’s 1967 self-titled debut and stayed in rotation through the band’s final year in 1995.
