The Greyboy Allstars revealed their New Year’s Eve plans, as the band will play a three-night hometown run at The Casbah in San Diego. DJ Greyboy will join the group at the shows scheduled for December 29, 30 and 31.

The Greyboy Allstars — consisting of multi-instrumentalist Karl Denson, keyboardist Robert Walter, guitarist Elgin Park, drummer Aaron Redfield and bassist Chris Stillwell — formed in 1993 as the backing band for DJ Greyboy. In 1994, the group put out their debut album, West Coast Boogaloo, and followed with A Town Called Earth in 1997. The innovative outfit just reissued their long-out-of-print sophomore LP as A Town Called Earth: Immortal Edition.

Each Greyboy Allstars New Year’s Run concert will feature two sets. The quintet’s three-night stand will begin their celebration of 30 years as a band. Look for a number of “GBA30” events throughout 2023 marking The Greyboy Allstars’ 30th anniversary.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, September 23 at 10 a.m. PT.
