Greensky Bluegrass scrapped their next five shows to allow mandolinist Paul Hoffman time to recover from a voice injury. The affected dates include three headlining concerts and a pair of festival appearances.
“Friends and beloved fans, my voice is injured and I’m seeking help and resting so that I can sing again as soon as possible,” phoff wrote in a statement shared on the band’s social feeds. “It saddens me to cancel this week’s shows, but I must listen to the doctors and specialists I’ve spoken to and remain on vocal rest.
“I love to sing for you and will do everything I can to heal and return to the stage very soon,” Hoffman continued. “I’m grateful for your love and concern.”

Greensky Bluegrass previously canceled a concert scheduled for last night (September 18) in Wilmington, North Carolina. The quintet is slated to return to the stage in San Francisco on October 4 and 5 to play The Fillmore and the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival, respectively.
Refunds for the canceled headlining shows in Wilmington, High Point (North Carolina) and Union Hall (Virginia) will be issued automatically via point of purchase. GSBG was also slated to perform at Nashville’s Americanafest tonight (September 19) and at the XPoNential Music Festival in Camden, New Jersey on Saturday, September 21.
