On November 28, 2014, Greensky Bluegrass followed an extensive fall tour with a Thanksgiving Weekend performance at the State Theatre in Kalamazoo, Michigan — the city that birthed the band. GSBG shared pro-shot video of the first set from that night as the first installment of their Live From The Archive series.

Greensky had just released the studio album If Sorrows Swim so it should come as no surprise the band treated hometown fans to six songs from the LP out of the 10 that formed the opening stanza. The quintet paired If Sorrows Swim tracks “The Four” and “Burn Them” to kick off the show before reaching for “Lose My Way” and “A Letter To Seymour.”

The five-piece’s first set from November 28, 2014 continued with If Sorrows Swim’s “In Control” and a cover of New Grass Revival’s “Can’t Stop Now.” Greensky then performed “What Happened To Jim?” for just the second time ever ahead of the early favorite “Reverend.” From there, the band went back to If Sorrows Swim to end the frame with “Wings For Wheels” and “Leap Year.” Watch the first Live From The Archive video below:
