Along with Bad Bunny’s exhilarating Halftime Show, Super Bowl LX also featured musical performances by Green Day, Brandi Carlile, Charlie Puth and Coco Jones at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The pre-game music began with Green Day rocking through a medley of their songs. Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong played acoustic guitar with an accompanying orchestra for a portion of “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).” He then switched to electric guitar and joined drummer Tré Cool and bassist Mike Dirnt for “Holiday.”

They rolled into “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and finished with a portion of “American Idiot.” Armstrong held back from singing some of the overtly political lyrics found in the songs they selected.

Brandi Carlile was backed by cello/violin sibling duo SistaStrings for a rendition of “America The Beautiful.” An eight-piece string section accompanied Coco Jones on her offering of “Lift Every Voice And Sing.” Fred Beam provided American Sign Language performances as well.

“The Star-Spangled Banner” was sung by Charlie Puth, who played electric piano and was joined by a choir and orchestra. The Seattle Seahawks went on to defeat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX.
