One week after winning the coveted Grammy Award for Album Of The Year, Bad Bunny was on another globally viewed stage, performing the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Bad Bunny was joined by fellow Puerto Rican musician Ricky Martin, while Lady Gaga also made a surprise appearance during the mid-game festivities.
Bad Bunny performed several songs from his Grammy-winning album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, ending his halftime show with the album’s sing-along title track. The presentation featured many symbolic references to Puerto Rico as Bad Bunny traversed across the football field and the stage that resembled his La Casita setup from his recent tour dates.
Dancers, besides those in sugar cane costumes, included musicians like Cardi B and Karol G, actors Pedro Pascal and Jessica Alba, and professional baseball player Ronald Acuna Jr., among others.
Ricky Martin sang a verse of the DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS song “LO QUE LE PASÓ A HAWAii.” Lady Gaga’s surprise spot saw her sing a salsa version of her Bruno Mars collaboration, “Die With A Smile.”
“The Only Thing More Powerful Than Hate Is Love” was projected on the stadium’s massive video board while Bad Bunny performed. For the finale, he showed a football with the words “Together We Are America” written on it, spiking the ball to punctuate the celebration.
The Seattle Seahawks went on to defeat the New England Patriots and win Super Bowl LX. Watch Bad Bunny’s NFL Super Bowl Halftime Show below:
