Grateful Shred Performs ‘Ship Of Fools’ Aboard Jam Cruise 18: Pro-Shot Video

Grateful Shred kicked off the Pool Deck action on the third day of Jam Cruise 18 this past January. Official video of the Grateful Dead tribute act’s version of “Ship Of Fools” from the set has been shared on the Jam Cruise YouTube channel.
The Grateful Shred lineup on Jam Cruise featured guitarists Clay Finch, Sam Blasucci and Austin McCutchen as well as bassist Dan Horne, keyboardist Adam MacDougall and drummer Austin Beede. Circles Around The Sun drummer Mark Levy joined the band, including his CATS mates MacDougall and Horne, for portions of the set.

Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter co-wrote “Ship Of Fools,” which was first played live by the Dead in February 1974. The band performed the song over 200 times through June 1995 as per Dead Discography. Watch Grateful Shred’s version below:
