Rick Mitarotonda and Peter Anspach of Goose went acoustic for a cover of “Bruised Orange (Chain Of Sorrow)” by John Prine that also featured bassist Jeffrey Arevalo. The trio contributed the cover to a tribute put together by 11E1even Group and nugs.tv as part of the Live From Out There series.
“Bruised Orange (Chain Of Sorrow)” is the title track of Prine’s 1978 studio album, Bruised Orange. The cover from the members of Goose came after Prine recently passed away due to COVID-19 complications at age 73. Hiss Golden Messenger, Jackie Greene and Nicki Bluhm were among other artists who participated in the Live From Out There tribute to the beloved singer-songwriter.
