Hardly Strictly Bluegrass :: 9.30-10.2.16 :: Golden Gate Park :: San Francisco, CA

Golden Gate Park once again hosted three days of free music as over 100 acts performed this weekend at the annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. The event’s 16th year featured a number of returning acts and collaborations during the three-days at the historic Bay Area park.

Well-established musicians such as Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, Hot Tuna, Mavis Staples, Jackson Browne and Vince Gill were among those who appeared at this year’s HSB. Also appearing across the seven stages hosting performances were The Mother Hips, Steve Earle & The Dukes, Dave Rawlings Machine, Doobie Decibel System, Wynonna & The Big Noise, KT Tunstall and Dropkick Murphys.

The weekend also saw performances by Jim James and Conor Oberst with the two also being joined by their Monsters Of Folk band mate M. Ward during Oberst’s set. Elephant Revival, Allah-Lahs, Delta Rae, The California Honeydrops, Pimps Of Joytime and others can be seen in the photo gallery from Sterling Munksgard below:
