Full Show Audio & Video: Pink Talking Fish Welcomes Guests For ‘PTF In The Mirror’ Show In Ardmore

Phish/Talking Heads/Pink Floyd tribute act Pink Talking Fish played a pair of concept shows at Ardmore Music Hall near Philadelphia this past weekend. The band started the weekend with guest-filled “PTF In The Mirror” performance on Friday night featuring a full horn section and a handful of vocalists.

“PTF In The Mirror” saw the group work Michael Jackson covers into their usual mix of Phish, Talking Heads and Pink Floyd songs. The Bad Horns featuring members of Swift Technique helped out at various points of the evening as did vocalists Elise Testone, Hayley Jane and The Kit Holliday Singers plus percussionist Ryan Clausen.

The horns and vocalists assisted Pink Talking Fish on the opening sequence of “Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)” > “Twist” > “Crosseyed And Painless.” All the guests stuck around for “Great Gig In The Sky,” “The Way You Make Me Feel” and “The Wedge.” The horns then left the stage for “Genius Of Love” before returning for the rest of the first set which included a mashup of “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough” and “Golden Age,” among other songs.

Pink Talking Fish started the second set by themselves for a version of the Phish classic “David Bowie.” Testone then returned for “Have A Cigar” with The Kit Holliday Singers joining the fun on “Beat It.” The horns and vocalists all contributed to “Take Me To The River” and “Thriller.” Elise Testone shined on a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “No Quarter” that came next. Friday’s second set concluded with versions of Talking Heads’ “What A Day That Was,” Michael Jackson’s “Working Day And Night,” Phish’s “Suzy Greenberg” and “Eclipse” by Pink Floyd. For the encore, PTF and guests including Ryan Clausen performed MJ’s “Man In The Mirror” and a horn-driven “Julius.” Check out audio and video below.
