Full Show Audio: moe. Go Triple ‘Dog’ At The Kent Stage

On Wednesday night moe. performed a show at The Kent Stage in Kent, Ohio. The first set was highlighted by an intricate interweaving of “Downward Facing Dog,” while set two saw the New York-based band go heavy on improvisation.

Fans didn’t have to wait until the second set for a massive jam as the show opened with a lengthy rendition of “Rise.” The set continued to flow as they moved through “Sensory Deprivation Bank” and “Wormwood,” which then dropped into “Downward Facing Dog.” From there moe. transitioned into a cover of “Fearless” by Pink Floyd before going back for a second dip of “Downward Facing Dog.” A segue into “Deep This Time” came next before the band transitioned back into “Downward Facing Dog” for a third and final time. “Nebraska” then closed set one.

“Mar-Dema” opened the second set, followed by “Moth” which went into a well-jammed “Don’t Fuck With Flo” followed by lengthy rendition of “Tailspin” and the ending of “Moth.” More improv was soon explored inside the version of “McBain” that closed out the set. The pairing of “All Roads Lead to Home” > “Captain America” held down the encore, drawing the night to an end.

Thanks to the speedy turnaround of taper Jesse D. Scott last night’s triple “Dog” first set and jammed out second set can be streamed here:
