Full Show Audio: Circles Around The Sun Return To Brooklyn Bowl

Jam quartet Circles Around The Sun recently returned to New York City for a late night performance at the Gramercy Theater and an afternoon matinee at Brooklyn Bowl. A crispy soundboard matrix recording of Circles Around The Sun’s Brooklyn Bowl show recently surfaced and can be streamed and/or downloaded below.

Circles Around The Sun features guitarist Neal Casal, keyboardist Adam MacDougall, drummer Mark Levy and bassist Dan Horne. Casal put the group together after reaction to the music he composed for intermissions at 2015’s Fare Thee Well concerts called for live performances.

The band played six songs at Brooklyn Bowl on Sunday afternoon and all six were performed by CATS the previous November. However, each tune is open-ended so the jams were very different. Highlights included the Phish-y “Ginger Says,” an extended “Scarlotta’s Magnolias” and a near 25-minute “Hallucinate A Solution” opener.
