Bob Weir, Los Lobos, Lyle Lovett & More Aboard For ‘eTown 30th b’Earthday Celebration’ Virtual Concert
Bob Weir, Los Lobos and Lyle Lovett are among those taking part in eTown 30th b’Earthday Celebration, a virtual concert in honor of the Boulder, Colorado-based radio show’s 30th anniversary and induction into the Colorado Music Hall Of Fame. eTown 30th b’Earthday Celebration airs for free via eTown.org on April 22 at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT.
eTown hosts Nick & Helen Forster will host the virtual concert. The War And Treaty, Sam Bush, City And Colour and Raquel Garcia round out the initial lineup. Former U.S. Senator and environmental advocate, Tim Werth will take part in the conversation portion of the event. More eTown 30th b’Earthday Celebration guests will be revealed soon.
eTown 30th b’Earthday Celebration will run for 90 minutes and will be available to watch on-demand after the premiere. “The event will also include visits with some of our former guests speaking about the issues that eTown has long promoted: sustainability, energy efficiency, climate change and social responsibility,” as per a press release.
“Helen and I started eTown in ’91 determined to try something new, to make a different kind of show, one that mixed music and message,” stated Nick Forster. “It took us a while to find our voice and our place in the media landscape, but over the last three decades, we’ve not only presented—and played—a ton of remarkable live music, we’ve also shared really inspiring conversations and stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things on behalf of our shared environment.”
