Hardly Strictly Bluegrass unveiled a batch of lineup additions for the 26th edition of the free three-day music festival. Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas, Jesse Welles and Sierra Hull lead the second wave of artists set to perform October 2 – 4, 2026 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.
Other new additions include Aaron Lee Tasjan, Darrell Scott String Band with Rob Ickes, Dug, Mama’s Broke, A Tribute To Joe Ely with The Flatlanders and Friends, Ismay and Kam Franklin.
Those acts join a lineup headlined by Steve Earle, My Morning Jacket, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings and Old Crow Medicine Show. The 2026 lineup also features Molly Tuttle, Hiss Golden Messenger, AJ Lee & Blue Summit, Kathleen Edwards, El Khat, Tyler Ballgame, William Tyler & Yasmin Williams and John Craigie with The Coffis Brothers.
“Last year we celebrated the silver anniversary of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, kicking off a chapter of reflecting on everything we’ve built over the last 25 years. This October, we’re bringing that to a culmination by inviting back legacy artists like Gillian Welch & David Rawlings and Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas, as well as presenting a tribute concert to honor Steve Earle – a defining voice in the HSB family whose generosity and artistry have shaped who we are. As we conclude this hallmark year, we couldn’t be more excited for the next twenty-five,” noted the festival’s executive director John Caldon in a statement.
