Erykah Badu expanded her tour honoring the 25th anniversary of her revolutionary sophomore studio album, Mama’s Gun, with a string of European dates in the middle of two runs of North American shows. The neo-soul icon’s Mama’s Gun ’25: The Return of Automatic Slim Tour begins on October 3 at Hollywood Bowl and makes stops at major venues in North America and Europe through December 10.
Each show will feature reimagined arrangements of beloved Mama’s Gun standouts like “Bag Lady,” “Didn’t Cha Know?” and “Cleva” as well as cuts from throughout Erykah Badu’s illustrious catalog. Badu released Mama’s Gun in 2000 to both critical acclaim and commercial success. The record has influenced a generation of artists who have followed in Badu’s footsteps.
