Eddie Vedder Sings Pink Floyd Cover With Former Pearl Jam Drummer In Seattle

Former Pearl Jam drummer Jack Irons has been kicking off shows on Red Hot Chili Peppers’ current tour with solo performances. Last night, Irons was joined by Eddie Vedder for a cover of the Pink Floyd classic “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” at Key Arena in Seattle.
Vedder’s appearance comes about a week after Pearl Jam issued a letter acknowledging the contributions of the band’s past drummers. Pearl Jam invited all of their former drummers to join them next month when they get inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. On Saturday, Eddie sang the familiar “Shine On” lyrics over the top of Jack Irons’ solo rendition of the song. Watch video captured by Mitch Wight:
