Last night, Dua Lipa fit a tribute to hometown heroes The Beatles into her second of two concerts at Anfield in Liverpool. The pop star led the crowd through a sing-along cover of “Hey Jude” late in the second set of the show.
Liverpool was the latest stop on Lipa’s Radical Optimism World Tour. Each show has been presented as four separate sets and an encore. Dua Lipa has often used the penultimate song of the second act to perform geographically-appropriate covers, as she did on Wednesday at Anfield.

“I can’t leave Liverpool without playing something [from this act],” Lipa informed the crowd before launching into “Hey Jude.” Dua Lipa performed the Beatles’ 1968 single on the B-stage accompanied by her backing band.
The pop star delivered a soulful rendition of the song that stayed mostly true to the original. Fans at the massive stadium sang along to “Hey Jude” in loud volume, reaching a crescendo with its iconic “Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nahs.”
