The Disco Biscuits Kick Off Fillmore Silver Spring Run With 3-Song 1st Set
The opening stanza included a +40-minute “Shocked!”

The Disco Biscuits launched a two-night stand and the latest leg of their Why We Dance Tour at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland near Washington D.C. on Thursday. The quartet — Marc Brownstein, Jon Gutwillig, Aron Magner and Allen Aucoin — got right down to business with a three-song set to get the run underway.
The lion’s share of set one belonged to “Shocked!,” off Bisco’s soon-to-be-released-in-full space opera Revolution in Motion. After exploring “Shocked!” for upwards of 40 minutes, tDB slid into another new song, “Ring The Doorbell Twice.”

According to Phantasy Tour, “Ring The Doorbell Twice” was crafted from a “Buy the Time” > “Digital Buddha” jam that took place on October 28, 2023 at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. The Disco Biscuits officially unveiled “Ring The Doorbell Twice” two months later on December 30 at Franklin Music Hall in their hometown of Philadelphia.
After a pair of new tunes, Bisco closed the three-song set with an oldie, “Helicopters.” The quartet has played the staple over 300 times and gave it a +23-minute treatment in Silver Spring.
The Disco Biscuits kept things vintage to serve up the second set with “Little Shimmy In A Conga Line.” The band then segued through 2000s tunes with “The Great Abyss” and “Pimp Blue Rikkis” before flipping classic “Crickets” inverted.
The band bookended the second frame by finishing up “Little Shimmy.” But the quartet had more vintage Bisco in store for Silver Spring when they returned to encore with the 1996-debuted “Down To The Bottom.”
