Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds Play Rare Duo Show In Canandaigua: Setlist & Videos

Last night guitarists Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds took a break from Dave Matthews Band tour to play a duo gig that have become increasingly rare as the years go on. Dave and Tim mixed DMB classics, new tunes and even a few of Reynolds songs over the course of the 27-song performance.

The pair opened with “The Stone” which marked the first time since 2009 Dave & Tim used the tune to open a show. “Grace Is Gone,” which recently was played by DMB for the first time in 2016, was up next and was followed by the year’s first “Old Dirt Hill (Bring That Beat Back)” in any format. Matthews and Reynolds’ main set featured four songs that Dave & Tim had never performed before at their duo shows: “Bismarck,” “Samurai Cop,” “Death On The High Seas” and “Tangled Web We Leave.” The latter is a Tim song while the first three are recent additions to the DMB repertoire. Both “Kundalini Bonfire” and “Tangled Web We Weave” were played just by Tim. The evening came to a close with a pair of encores. Encore One featured “Crash Into Me” and “Two Step,” while the second encore included “Oh,” “Tripping Billies” and “Ants Marching.”
