Dave Matthews Band’s second night of a two-show run at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire took place on Wednesday and like the previous performance included a special guest sitting in with the band. Night two in New Hampshire saw Zac Brown Band guitarist Clay Cook accompany DMB on “Lie In Our Graves.”
Cook attended Berklee College Of Music with John Mayer and formed a close musical bond with the Dead & Company guitarist who recently shared the stage with Dave Matthews. Another classmate of Cook’s at Berklee was Dave Matthews Band trumpet player Rashawn Ross who was in the same freshman class and performed in ensembles together. Cook added a blistering solo to “Lie In Our Graves,” watch the collaboration below:

DMB followed the Cook sit-in with “Late In The Evening,” the Paul Simon song they recently covered for the first time. Wednesday’s setlist also featured this year’s first performances of “Old Dirt Hill (Bring That Beat Back)” and “Water Into Wine,” and a rare full-band “Proudest Monkey” encore.
Dave Matthews Band’s Summer Tour 2023 continues tomorrow, Friday, July 14 at SPAC in Saratoga Springs, New York.
