Dave Matthews Band began their two-night stand at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire last night about 75 minutes later than expected due to inclement weather. The band still treated rain-soaked fans to a full concert and fit their first performance of “Sugar Will” in nearly three years into the setlist.
The 9,000-capacity venue has become one of DMB’s favorite outdoor amphitheatres over the past decade. This year’s run at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion marks the septet’s fourth annual two-night stand in Gilford and sixth since 2016.

Dave Matthews led his bandmates through “JTR” to open after the lengthy delay. “JTR” was one of eight songs of the evening’s first 11 that DMB hadn’t played more than five times prior this tour. “Spoon,” “Recently,” “The Best Of What’s Around,” “Busted Stuff,” “Rhyme and Reason,” “Where Are You Going” and “Sguar Will” were the others.
The unreleased “Sugar Will” has been extremely rare since 2019. Last night was DMB’s first performance of the song dating back to September 18, 2021 — a span of 233 shows according to DMB Almanac.

Dave Matthews Band followed “Sugar Will” with a string heavy on staples including “Pig,” “Too Much,” a cover David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” and “So Damn Lucky.” The seven-piece selected “The Last Stop” to end the main set.
Dave Matthews returned to get the encore going with a solo version of the Pearl Jam classic “Just Breathe.” The beloved “Grey Street” featuring the full band punctuated the concert. All told, DMB played 19 songs last night despite the delayed start. Dave Matthews Band is back in Gilford tonight.
