Dave Matthews Band Shares Stage With John D’Earth & Joe Lawlor In Bristow

The Dave Matthews Band continued Summer Tour on Saturday night at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia. For the second night in a row crew member and guitarist Joe Lawlor sat-in as did trumpeter John D’Earth.
D’Earth, a jazz musician from Charlottesville whose band often included LeRoi Moore before the late saxophonist joined DMB, made his first appearance of the night early on to lend a hand on “Seek Up.” Later in the night, Lawlor emerged to add to “Corn Bread” just one night after he sat-in with the band on “Rhyme & Reason” in Virginia Beach. Dave Matthews Band’s main set on Saturday concluded with D’Earth joining in on a “Jimi Thing” that featured an interpolation of “Sexy MF” by Prince. The trumpeter last performed with DMB at a May show in Charlottesville. The tour continues on Tuesday in Wantagh, New York.
