Dave Matthews Band Announces Debut Album Re-Issue

Next month the Dave Matthews Band will re-issue their 1993 debut studio effort, Remember Two Things, in a variety of formats including vinyl. The re-issue of Remember Two Things, set for June 17, will feature two previously unreleased bonus tracks: early studio versions of “Pay For What You Get” and “Typical Situation,” newly mastered by original album engineer David Glasser.

Remember Two Things was issued on the band’s Bama Rags label before they signed with a major label and before the band’s popularity exploded. The new vinyl issue of the LP won’t contain the bonus tracks as the 2LP 180-gram deluxe audiophile release, cut from new lacquers, features the original album packaged in an individually numbered gatefold jacket and a new eight-page booklet with full lyrics and rare, unseen photos of the band. Those purchasing the vinyl package will receive a download card that features the full album and both bonus tracks.

As a companion piece, DMB has also announced the next installment of their Live Trax live archival series, which features a pair of shows from the Remember Two Things era recorded at The Muse in Nantucket, MA between August 16 and 18, 1993.

Both Remember Two Things and Live Trax 30: The Muse are currently available for pre-order. Next week the band begins an extensive summer tour that is set to feature an acoustic and an electric set at each stop.
