Cyndi Lauper took time during her concert on Tuesday at Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in Raleigh, North Carolina, to pay tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. The special moment came shortly after Osbourne’s family confirmed his death at age 76.

Near the end of her set, Lauper was left alone on a darkened stage and she picked up her phone and held it up to her microphone. The audience then heard a portion of Osbourne’s solo classic “Crazy Train” played from Lauper’s phone. The 72-year-old musician then asked the audience to join her in lighting up their phones “For Ozzy.”

The tribute to Osbourne, who was the founding frontman of influential 1960s metal band Black Sabbath, was followed by Lauper performing a heartfelt rendition of her well-known song “Time After Time.” Lauper will officially join Osbourne and Black Sabbath in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame later this year.
