Cover Alert | HAIM Tackle Sheryl Crow

Get used to seeing the name HAIM in the coming months as the sister act gears up for the release of Days Are Gone, their highly-anticipated full-length debut, which hits stores on September 30. The San Fernando Valley-based band, who have already put out a handful of much buzzed-about EPs, mix their love of ’90s R&B and dance-y synth-pop with the sounds of the classic rock they grew up on – arriving at an odd earworm-y combination of Fleetwood Mac meets TLC that has some major cross-over appeal.

The band, who have hit the festival circuit in a major way this summer making appearances at Bonnaroo, Firefly and Governor’s Ball, recently stopped by the studios of Australian radio station Triple J during their swing Down Under where they took part in the Like A Version cover song series.

For their contribution, HAIM offered a synth-rock meets sunshine-pop take on Sheryl Crow’s “Strong Enough” from the singer-songwriter’s 1993 debut Tuesday Night Music Club, highlighted by Este, Danielle and Alana’s fantastic harmonies.

HAIM will kick off their fall North American headlining tour with a high-profile appearance at the Made In America Festival in Philadelphia, PA on August 31.
