Listen To Mikaela Davis Sing On 1st Circles Around The Sun Track With Vocals: ‘After Sunrise’

Circles Around The Sun and harpist Mikaela Davis will release a collaborative four-song EP, After Sunrise, on April 5 via Kill Rock Stars. The previous collaborators and upcoming tour mates shared a video for the pending release’s title track, a cover of “After Sunrise” by legendary Brazilian musician Sérgio Mendes.
Davis contributed to CATS' “Language” single, which came out in 2022. A remix of the collaborative track was included on Circles Around The Sun’s 2023 studio album also titled Language.

Circles Around The Sun and Mikaela Davis and Southern Star will soon embark on a series of Winter 2024 tour dates featuring extended sets from both bands as well as nightly CATS/Davis collaborations. The tour begins on February 28 in Washington D.C. and is currently set to conclude on March 24 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Almost Sunrise was recorded, mixed and produced by Dan Horne who also played bass alongside CATS guitarist John Lee Shannon, keyboardist Adam MacDougall, drummer Mark Levy. Percussionist Andres Renteria also contributed to the EP. The tracklist contains two new originals, “Gloaming Way” and “Moonbow,” as well as a live recording of “Language.”
