Brandi Carlile & Lucie Silvas Cover Roy Orbison & Bonnie Tyler At The Ryman

Brandi Carlile and supporting act Lucie Silvas teamed up to cover Roy Orbison and Bonnie Tyler on Wednesday night at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The collaboration, which followed an earlier guest appearance by Tanya Tucker, came during Carlile’s encore at the historic venue.

Wednesday’s concert was Carlile’s second show of a six-night residency at The Ryman. Like Tuesday’s opening night, Tucker came out to perform “Bring My Flowers Now,” which was co-written by Carlile and appeared on Tucker’s 2019 album While I’m Livin’ that Carlile also co-produced.

The encore began with Carlile, joined only by Silvas on piano and vocals, singing Orbison’s “You Got It.” The pair was then accompanied by Carlile’s band mates for a cover of Tyler’s “Total Eclipse Of The Heart.” Silvas left the stage for Carlile to conclude the show with “Party Of One.” Carlile’s Ryman residency continues tonight.
