The Black Crowes premiered a previously unreleased cover of Humble Pie’s “30 Days In The Hole” from the sessions that yielded the band’s debut album, Shake Your Money Maker. “30 Days In The Hole” is among the tracks featured on 30th anniversary reissues of Shake Your Money Maker due out on February 26 via UMe/American Recordings.

Shake Your Money Maker was recorded with producer George Drakoulias by the original Black Crowes lineup of vocalist Chris Robinson, guitarists Rich Robinson and Jeff Cease, bassist Johnny Colt and drummer Steve Gorman. The 30th anniversary reissues will be available in a variety of formats including Super Deluxe box sets.

Humble Pie released “30 Days In The Hole” on their 1972 studio album, Smokin’. The Black Crowes only played the song live once as per Crowesbase. The lone live rendition ended the band’s June 5, 1990 concert at Paradiso in Amsterdam. Rich Robinson did perform “30 Days In The Hole” a handful of times with his Magpie Salute project in 2017.
