Bernie Worrell’s Wife Shares Update On Legendary Keyboardist’s Health

Beloved keyboardist Bernie Worrell’s condition continues to deteriorate according to his wife Judie, who shared an update about his status on Bernie’s official Facebook page. Friends of Worrell, who is battling stage four lung cancer, have been urged to say their goodbyes to the keyboardist as he heads “home” after his condition has taken a turn for the worse.

A note from Judie reads, “I was just told that Bernie is now headed “Home”. If you are in the WA area and want to visit him to say your goodbyes, PM me. PLEASE do not call me. Bernie can no longer talk on phone nor can he text.”

Today’s update follows bad news shared last month that Worrell’s tumor had grown to the extent it is pressing on his vocal cords.
