On Saturday, renowned singer-songwriter Jackson Browne hit the stage of Shoalsfest in the musically rich Muscle Shoals area of Alabama. Festival founder Jason Isbell joined Browne to help him close out his set with “Take It Easy” and “Our Lady Of The Well.”
Isbell brought Shoalsfest back to Florence — the county seat of his native Lauderdale County — in 2025 after a two-year hiatus. Jackson Browne’s set at the event saw him performing favorites from his catalog such as “These Days,” “Somebody’s Baby,” “Doctor My Eyes” and “Running On Empty.” Following the latter, Isbell emerged for a medley of “Take It Easy” and “Our Lady Of The Well.”
The co-write between Jackson Browne and late Eagles co-founding member Glenn Frey, “Take It Easy,” kicked off the collaboration. Isbell handled the song’s iconic riffage as Browne led the band on the song. Isbell also stuck around for the cut off Browne’s 1973 LP, For Everyman, “Our Lady Of The Well.”
