Watch The Barr Brothers’ New KEXP Session Spotlighting ‘Let It Hiss’

The Barr Brothers have celebrated the release of each studio project dating back to the sibling duo’s self-titled debut album in 2011 by performing a set for KEXP. Brad and Andrew Barr recently returned to the Seattle-based independent radio station’s studios for a session showcasing material from their latest LP, 2025’s Let It Hiss.

The set was broadcast live on March 26, 2026 one night before The Barr Brothers brought the Let It Hiss Tour to Seattle’s Nectar Lounge and now video of the performance has been shared and can be viewed below. Brad and Andrew were accompanied for the session by bassist Todd Dahloff along with guest guitarist/vocalist Georgia Harmer and pedal steel specialist Matt Kelly. Both Harmer and Kelly met Brad and Andrew just two days prior to the KEXP appearance.

The Barr Brothers opened the set with “Burn Card,” the lone offering from an album other than Let It Hiss. Andrew Barr played an unusual instrument called “The Fron” invented by a Guelph, Ontario woodworker and creator Fron Reilly on the track off the duo’s 2015 EP Alta Falls. Brad and Andrew then harmonized on a song they previously performed for KEXP in 2017.

The ensemble then turned their attention to Let It Hiss, the first Barr Brothers album since 2017’s Queens Of The Breakers. Up first from the LP was the propulsive “Run Right Into It.” The ethereal ballad “Another Tangerine” followed along with the record’s funky title track. The Barr Brothers slowed the pace to wrap the session with the pensive “Take It From Me.”
