Arcade Fire & Preservation Hall Jazz Band Hold David Bowie Second Line Parade At Panorama

Last night Arcade Fire headlined the first night of the Panorama New York City music festival at Randall’s Island. Reprising an event held in New Orleans in January, Arcade Fire enlisted the help of NOLA brass ensemble Preservation Hall Jazz Band to honor the late legendary musician David Bowie with a traditional second line parade.

At the end of Arcade Fire’s main set that pulled nearly equally from each of the band’s four records, Preservation Hall Jazz Band emerged to join on “Wake Up.” From there the two acts left the stage, parading through the audience as they jointly performed Bowie favorites “Rebel Rebel,” “Suffragette City” and “Heroes.” View audience-shot footage of the second line parade from Panorama below.
