Italian musician Fabio Zaffagnini last year organized the Rockin’1000 viral video featuring 1,000 musicians performing Foo Fighter’s “Learning To Fly” together in the Italian town of Cesena. The impressive stunt resulted in the band playing the small Italian enclave and Zaffagnini recently regrouped the ensemble – along with an additional 200 members – for a full blown concert event.
Held last month at L’Orogel Stadio-Dino Manuzzi in Cesena, the setlist purportedly included takes on The Beatles “Come Together,” The Rolling Stones’ “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” Neil Young’s “Rockin’ In The Free World” and the show closing “Learning To Fly,” There was also a performance of “Seven Nation Army” by The White Stripes, a Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin medley and a rendition of “Rebel, Rebel” by David Bowie.
Official video of “Rebel, Rebel” as well as behind-the-scenes footage of the event can be seen here:
