Zach Bryan is back with new music and this time it’s an actual single and not just a teaser. Bryan shared the new single “This World’s A Giant” and revealed a second new tune will follow tomorrow.
“This World’s A Giant” arrives a mere four months after the release of his latest studio album, The Great American Bar Scene. The song dates back to at least May of 2023 as that month Zach Bryan took to social media to post an early version and followed with a bit of acoustic performance last summer.

The single is completely different. Bryan utilizes a gorgeous, lilting arrangement that, as Stereogum expertly pointed out, brings to mind the work of Bon Iver. Zach Bryan is also accompanied by horns and backup vocals from Heaven’s Heaven Schmidtt.
“Zach has shown us, over and over, how he lifts up small artists he believes in. He is a true artist who takes chances in the name of a great song,” Schmidtt told Stereogum. “We became acquainted through a mutual musician friend, Jack Van Cleaf, where I got a chance to show off my vocal chops. We’ve been working together regularly since. He’s become a true friend in music and I’m grateful to work alongside this special artist.”
