Willie Nelson Announces New Album ‘God’s Problem Child’

Outlaw country legend Willie Nelson has detailed a new studio album entitled God’s Problem Child. The new record is due out on April 28 – one day before Willie’s 84th birthday.

The album features 13 new songs marking the first collection of all new material from Nelson since 2014’s Band Of Brothers. Willie wrote seven of the new compositions with his regular collaborator Buddy Cannon. A song by Gary Nicholson, “He Won’t Ever Be Gone,” honors Nelson’s late friend and fellow country music legend Merle Haggard. The LP’s title track was written by Jamey Johnson and Tony Joe White and both men contributed vocals alongside the late great Leon Russell – on what might have been his “very last recording.”
