Georgia rockers Widespread Panic continues to mine their vault for archival releases. Today, the band has issued the latest Porch Songs which was recorded on April 11, 1995 at the Metropol in Pittsburgh.

Widespread Panic’s visit to Metropol came in the middle of a massive cross-country tour in support of the seven month old Ain’t Life Grand. Highlights include an early version of “Radio Child,” the impressive segue from “Mercy” into “Henry Parsons Died,” lots of banter from John Bell, keyboardist JoJo Hermann’s wild “Blackout Blues” intro and a wild “Low Spark Of High-Heeled Boys” encore. Porch Songs: Pittsburgh 1995 is available for purchase via LiveWidespreadPanic.com.
