Watch Widespread Panic Play ‘Barstools & Dreamers’ ‘Live In Oakland’

Widespread Panic continues to regularly kick down pro-shot video from the band’s archive on YouTube. The latest clip features “Barstools & Dreamers” from October 15, 2010 at The Fox Theater in Oakland.

The 12-minute version of “Barstools & Dreamers” was played within the second set at the sextet’s first of three nights at the Oakland venue as part of their fall tour in 2010. Official video of all three concerts is available for purchase and download via LiveWidespreadPanic.com.

Widespread Panic previously shared videos of “Chainsaw City,” “Chilly Water” and “Diner” from the show. “Barstools & Dreamers” is one of the earliest WSP originals. The first known version of the song was played on February 16, 1987 as per Everyday Companion. Guitarist John Bell handles lead vocals on “Barstools & Dreamers,” a tune the band recorded for their 1991 self-titled studio album, a.k.a. Mom’s Kitchen.
