Starting in February, comedy-rocker “Weird Al” Yankovic will embark on an extensive tour of North America that is currently slated to continue until June. Yankovic has announced details of the run, which finds him changing up his show from recent tours.

Over the course of “Weird Al” Yankovic’s “The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour,” the iconic musician will focus on originals instead of the parodies for which he is so well known. Yankovic will play scaled-down shows in smaller, more intimate theaters, with limited production. Don’t expect costumes, props or video screens. As mentioned, Al’s setlists will be comprised almost entirely of his original (non-parody) songs.

The tour begins at the Bardavon 1869 Opera House in Poughkeepsie, New York on February 27. March dates include stops in New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Quebec, Ontario, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and Iowa. In April, Yankovic brings the run to Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Georgia, Missouri, Texas and Kansas. Then, May finds Al performing in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, California, Oregon, Washington and Alberta. Yankovic is currently scheduled to end the tour with June stops in Alberta, Manitoba, North Dakota, Missouri, Iowa and Wisconsin.

Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, October 20 at 12 p.m. local times.
