Pro-Shot Videos: Steve Kimock Use Jerry Garcia’s Travis Bean TB500 In Idaho
By Scott Bernstein Jul 14, 2016 • 9:18 am PDT

This past Tuesday night guitarist Steve Kimock brought his K I M O C K project to The Hive in Sandpoint, Idaho. Hive owner Jeff Grady collects historic guitars and one axe he owns is the Travis Bean TB500 #11 Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia used in the studio and on-stage in the mid ’70s. Grady let Kimock use the guitar for a portion of Tuesday’s performance.
Jeff Grady & The Hive have shared pro-shot video of Kimock using the Travis Bean TB500 #11 on a cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Crazy Fingers” and the Jerry Garcia Band repertoire staple “Let It Rock.” Steve jokes about how he came to receive the guitar ahead of “Crazy Fingers” and advises the crowd he has no idea what the knobs do so he’ll just “leave it be.” Take a look of both videos:
