Watch Rich Robinson Cover ‘Oh! Sweet Nuthin” In New York City

Co-founding Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson is currently on tour with his solo band in support of the recently released Flux. Rich and a band that includes former Crowes bassist Sven Pipien, drummer Joe Magistro, keyboardist Matt Slocum and guitarist Niko Bereciartua haven been performing a mix of cuts from the album, Crowes staples and classic rock covers at venues across the country.
This past Saturday the Rich Robinson Band brought the tour to Highline Ballroom in New York City. Rich and his group ended the evening with an encore featuring covers of The Velvet Underground’s “Oh! Sweet Nuthin'” and The Rolling Stones’ “Sway.” Robinson led The Black Crowes on “Oh! Sweet Nuthin'” dozens of times between 2009 and the band’s final shows in 2013. His voice fits the cover perfectly and it’s a fine addition to his solo repertoire.
