Watch Rare Footage Of Bob Dylan & The Band At Isle Of Wight 1969

On August 31, 1969 Bob Dylan ended a three year hiatus from paid concerts by performing at the Isle Of Wight Festival in England. Dylan was backed by The Band for a fantastic set that featured a slew of live debuts. A 20-minute video containing footage from the recent Nobel Prize winner’s historic performance recently surfaced.

In the video below we see Bob talk at a press conference, color footage of the atmosphere at the festival and “She Belongs To Me” followed by more black-and-white clips from the performance itself. The live footage includes Bob Dylan and The Band’s takes on “I Threw It All Away,” “Highway 61 Revisited,” “One Too Many Mornings,” “I Pity The Poor Immigrant” and “Quinn The Eskimo.” You’ll even notice members of The Beatles in the crowd.
