On Tuesday night a pair of guitar gods, Jeff Beck and Buddy Guy, kicked off a co-headlining tour at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. Another legend, Wet Willie frontman Jimmy Hall led Jeff Beck and his band for portions of their set at The Cap.
Hall came out in the middle of Jeff Beck’s set to front the band on covers of Bonnie Dobson’s “Morning Dew,” Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come,” Hambone Willie Newbern’s “Rollin’ & Tumblin'” as well as Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition.” Jimmy also led the group on Beck’s own “Scared For The Children.” The evening came to a close with a cover of The Beatles’ “A Day In The Life.”
