Warren Haynes Goes Acoustic At Island Exodus In Jamaica

Guitarist Warren Haynes stepped into the spotlight as the main event on Sunday at Gov’t Mule’s Island Exodus event in Jamaica. Haynes performed a solo acoustic set at The Jewel Paradise Cove Resort in Runaway Bay, Jamaica that included a guest spot from Jackie Greene.

Shortly into Warren’s solo set, it became clear the guitarist was presenting the material from 2015’s Ashes & Dust in its entirety. Haynes rolled through 12 of the LP’s 13 tracks as the evening’s main set and encored with the remaining Ashes & Dust tune. Guitarist Jackie Greene lent a hand on a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Gold Dust Woman,” as he stood in for Grace Potter who duets with Warren on the studio album. Island Exodus 7 concludes today with one more two-set performance from Gov’t Mule and more.
