Warren Haynes And Ashes & Dust Band Welcomes David Bromberg In Wilmington
By Scott Bernstein Mar 2, 2016 • 7:06 am PST
Last night, guitarist Warren Haynes continued his tour with the Ashes & Dust Band featuring members of ChessBoxer and drummer Jeff Sipe at the Grand Opera House in Wilmington, Delaware. Haynes and his band were joined by special guest David Bromberg for an encore consisting of Bob Dylan covers to end the show.
Warren started the show with a run of originals leading into covers of Little Feat’s “Skin It Back” and The Allman Brothers Band’s “Blue Sky” and “Instrumental Illness.” The rest of the main set continued the tour’s trend of cover-heavy setlists with more Allmans tunes, a Neil Young song and an Elton John cover mixed in with choice originals. Bromberg came out with the band for the encore to contribute to “One More Cup Of Coffee” and “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere.”
