Wanee Festival To Honor Butch Trucks With This Year’s Wanee Wednesday

The 2017 installment of the Wanee Festival will take place at The Spirit Of The Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida between April 20 – 22. Organizers of the event have recently detailed the Wanee Wednesday pre-party lineup which will pay tribute to the late great Butch Trucks.
One of Butch’s last bands was the Freight Train Band. The FTB will perform at Wanee on April 19 along with special guests Luther Dickinson and Cody Dickinson. New Orleans Suspects, Crazy Fingers, Ben Sparaco Band, Matt Reynolds and Brothers & Sisters are also aboard for Wanee Wednesday ’17.
Bob Weir & The Campfire Band, Widespread Panic, the Trey Anastasio Band, Gov’t Mule, Dark Star Orchestra and Dr. John & The Nite Trippers are just a few of the acts set to play Wanee this April. Tickets are available via the festival’s website.
