On Saturday (July 5), opened a brief run of 2025 concerts with a sold-out show at Colorado’s scenic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The Michigan-bred ensemble welcomed special guests drummer Adam Deitch of Lettuce and vocalist Evangeline for separate appearances and paid tribute to Phish during their first performance at the famed venue since 2019.
After a support set from Arc De Soleil, Vulfpeck selected “Dean Town” to open and followed with fellow fan-favorite “1612.” The band then performed “Cory Wong” and “Disco Ulysses” before offering “Tender Defender,” the first of seven songs from their latest album, Clarity Of Cal, played at Red Rocks.

Adam Deitch emerged a few songs later to hop behind the kit for a propulsive “Funky Duck.” Deitch has a long history of collaborating live with Vulfpeck that dates back to a November 2015 guest appearance at Brooklyn Bowl.
Vulfpeck went back to Clarity Of Cal after Deitch’s cameo for “Big Dipper” and “Matter Of Time.” Next came “LAX” off The Joy Of Music, The Job Of Real Estate ahead of additional Clarity Of Cal cuts “Can You Tell,” “In Real Life” and “This Is Not The Song I Wrote.”
The next portion of the show was devoted to songs from Jack Stratton's Vulfmon project. Up first was “How Much Do You Love Me?” and then Evangeline came out to help sing “Tokyo Night.” Vulfpeck wrapped the set with a run of “New Beastly,” “Baby I Don’t Know Oh Oh” and “Back Pocket.”
When Vulfpeck returned to the stage for the encore, most of the band sat on the drum riser while vocalist Antwaun Stanley fronted a portion of the Phish ballad “Waste” featuring impressive harmonies from his bandmates. At the same time, Phish was closing out their Folsom Field run approximately 25 miles away in Boulder.
The partial “Waste” cover led into a powerful version “Wait For The Moment” featuring a stellar bass solo from Joe Dart. Vulfpeck then recruited Evangeline to assist on a show-closing cover of King Harvest’s 1972 hit “Dancing In The Moonlight.”
