Video | Paul McCartney Celebrates Birthday At Firefly

Last week Paul McCartney celebrated his 73rd birthday on June 18. The Beatles bassist extraordinaire headlined the 2015 Firefly Music Festival at The Woodlands in Dover, Delaware the following night, Friday, June 19. Sir Paul acknowledged his special day by opening his set with The Beatles’ “Birthday.”
McCartney today shared footage from Firefly including a behind-the-scenes look at a backstage b-day celebration. It also shows a bit of backstage rehearsal of “Let It Be” and a portion of the “Birthday” opener as well as scenes from the fest.

A few songs after “Birthday” the set took a solemn turn as Paul took a moment to dedicate “The Long And Winding Road” to the victims of the recent shooting at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina.
